Pasteur Pipets, ABD®
What is a Pasteur pipette used for?
We use Pasteur pipettes to transfer small volumes of liquids.
The liquid volume is usually a few milliliters.
Pasteur pipette is named after Louis Pasteur, the founding father of microbiology.
We also call it "transfer pipettes" or "eye droppers". It is made from plastic material.
These transfer pipettes are disposable and cheap enough.
It’s good for scenarios where high accuracy is not necessary.
